Whether serving on a City of San Francisco committee, providing workforce development assistance in the Tenderloin, serving on boards, or partnering with non-profits to provide direct psychiatric care for specialized populations, Dr. Joe works to make a better San Fransisco Bay Area for all.
WHO IS DR. JOE KENAN
After completing his psychiatric residency in adult psychiatry, Dr. Joe Kenan completed psychiatric fellowships in both child psychiatry and forensic psychiatry at UCLA and Cedars Sinai, where he later served as assistant clinical professor and chief forensic psychiatrist, respectively. Dr. Kenan has held numerous positions in national psychiatric organizations, including past president of the American Society of Adolescent Psychiatry. He has published in top medical journals, presented extensively at national medical conferences, and testified in more than 350 court trials. He is active in San Francisco’s nonprofit organizations and city government where he works to make life better for all in San Francisco. In 2103, he received an MBA from top ranked business school University Of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, making him one of the few Psychiatrists in the country with dual MBA and MD degrees.
